The goal of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is to implement, maintain and manage construction activities throughout the performance of the second phase of demolition with an emphasis on quality, safety, efficiency and the environment. At the same time, OPRHP is committed to being good neighbors and apprising surrounding area communities of the construction progress with a focus on aspects of the work that could potentially cause disruptions to the community. The following highlights public involvement objectives set forth for this project:
Public Involvement Objectives:
- Develop partnerships with local community leaders, groups and organizations to provide an integrated, environmentally aware and collaborated approach to each aspect of the project
- Maintain and update the project website to document completed activities, inform the public as to the status of on-going abatement and demolition activities and forecast future activities.
